Lecturers in the UCU union at Richmond College struck from Wednesday to Friday last week.
They face a principal who is trying to slash the number of teaching staff by 40 percent.
He also wants to impose a new contract that would mean longer hours, a heavier workload and pay cuts for those who remain.
Low paid and untrained support staff will pick up some of the lecturers’ work. To add insult to injury two new highly paid managers are being hired.
Picket lines have been well supported and on the first day of the strike the college was virtually shut.
