Anti-fascists organise campaign against Nick Griffin

Issue No. 2297

Preston Unite Against Fascism held a meeting on Wednesday of last week as part of the campaign against BNP Nazi Nick Griffin in the city.

The “Griffin Must Go” campaign is a push by North West Unite Against Fascism (UAF) to remove him as European Parliament member for the region. It is backed by the North West TUC and others.

Speakers at the meeting included Peter Rankin, leader of Preston City Council, and Paul Jenkins of North West UAF.

The meeting also heard that local Labour MP Mark Hendrick has added his name to those who have signed the statement supporting the campaign.
