Meet the Socialist Worker candidates in the May elections

Issue No. 2298

Socialist Worker supporters are also standing as part of the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC), and as the Scottish Anti Cuts Coalition (SACC) in Scotland.

They include:

  • Manchester: Mark Krantz, Collette Williams
  • Sheffield: Maxine Bowler
  • Portsmouth: Frances Pilling
  • Cambridge: Tom Woodcock
  • Barnsley: Dave Gibson (standing as Independent)
  • Glasgow: Angela McCormick, Graham Campbell (Graham is standing as Solidarity)
  • Edinburgh: Willie Black

There are also four Socialist Worker supporters on the TUSC list for the London assembly—Jenny Sutton, Jackie Turner, Gary McFarlane and Merlin Reader.

“We’re getting out there,” Jenny Sutton told Socialist Worker. “In Tottenham we’ve got a public meeting planned for 17 April, and from that we’re hoping to organise to hand out more postcards.

“We’ve already got street stalls planned for the weekends.

“I’m also speaking at public meetings in Waltham Forest and in Tooting.”
