Campaigners save care homes

Issue No. 2299

Campaigners in West Cumbria have successfully campaigned to save two care homes from closure.

The campaign, backed by the Unison union, had gathered over 10,000 signatures on petitions, and saw local people place posters in hundreds of windows.

A local rugby club lent support in a photo shoot with Save Park Lodge t-shirts, backed by young people from the youth club.
