Organising Olympic protests

Issue No. 2299

Almost 50 people from a variety of different campaigns and organisations attended a Counter Olympics planning meeting in east London on Saturday of last week.

Activists discussed opportunities to protest around the London Olympics, including against corporate sponsors such as Dow Chemical and “sustainability partner” BP.

Meanwhile protesters have returned to Leyton Marsh, east London to prevent an Olympics basketball court being built on the site.
