Bus drivers in Belfast forced their bosses to reinstate a suspended colleague last week by abandoning their vehicles for an hour.

The unofficial action took place on the Metro service in the late morning on Friday of last week. The drivers also held a protest outside Belfast’s City Hall.

Stirling rail workers prepare for strike

Signalling workers in the Stirling area are set to strike for 24 hours starting from 6am on Thursday this week.

The RMT members are demanding Network Rail moves to a 12 hour shift system. They had voted 100 percent in favour of industrial action. A second 24 hour strike is set for Wednesday 9 May.
