Weyman Bennett, joint secretary of Unite Against Fascism, says it is vital that anti-fascists take on the EDL.

“The Breivik trial has galvanised people,” he told Socialist Worker. “People are drawing the links between what happened in Norway and anti-Muslim groups like the EDL.

“The high vote for Marine Le Pen in France should also be a warning to us.

“But we need to defeat fascists in the streets as well as at the ballot box.

“That’s why we need everyone to get down to Luton on 5 May.”
