Teachers organise to back 10 May strike

Issue No. 2301

The leadership of the NUT teachers’ union last week voted against regional strikes on 10 May and didn’t reaffirm a conference decision to strike in June.

The union’s annual conference had backed both these things.

Many teachers have twinned with striking workplaces to support strikers.

In London a number of NUT associations have called a protest over imposed pension contribution rises.
