Stop our suffering - March on Sunday

Issue No. 1923

Socialist Worker received this message from Fallujah last week:

‘THE AMERICAN army and what they call the Iraqi army, the Iraqi National Guard, attacked Samarra for four days because they claimed there were “foreign fighters” in the city. It isn’t true—we know that there are many women, children and elderly people dead.

The Americans have destroyed homes and mosques, and now they are in control of the city.

They have also continued to bombard Fallujah, again killing women and children.

My message to the British people is, “Put pressure on Tony Blair to withdraw the troops from Iraq.” That way we can return to a situation of friendship between our two peoples, as we had in the past.’
