Socialist Worker appeal ...£17,680 and rising

Issue No. 1923

Our fund to improve your paper and move to new offices is motoring. A council worker in south east London collected £532 at work and at an anti-racist festival this week.

Other readers are continuing to send donations ranging from £5 to £500—lifting our total to £17,680 so far.

This week we will be publishing a daily paper for the European Social Forum—all this costs us money.

We also need to update the equipment for the Socialist Worker picture library.

We already have over 40,000 images covering over 30 years of struggle. We want these images to become a resource for the movement. Your donations will help.

You can donate online at our secure site here.

‘I wasn’t going to make a donation to the Socialist Worker Moving Fund until I watched Stealing a Nation, John Pilger’s documentary on Diego Garcia.

When it finished I found myself fighting back the tears. That soon turned to anger, and I was cursing all those slimy, smarmy, callous, cold hearted bastards in London and Washington who push people around as though they were herding sheep. I’m sending £25.’
