Pay ballot begins on London buses

Issue No. 2304

The Unite union sent out ballot papers to over 20,000 bus workers in London on Wednesday of last week.

It aims to win bus workers £500 each for extra workload over the Olympics period.

A survey commissioned by Unite reported that 88 percent of Londoners backed the bus workers’ case.

Ballot results are expected early next month.
