Firms have rushed to cash in on the jubilee. You might have heard of “Ma’amite”.
But not all the efforts have been so successful. Mexican food outfit Old El Paso has joined in with an ad showing a royal hand holding a fajita.
They are even sponsoring the official jubilee party—and hope to get the crowd to do a Mexican wave.
Selling royal tat went a bit wrong at WH Smith’s. A technical screw-up meant for several hours its tills would only print receipts for one particular item. They read, “The Queen’s Knickers, £5.99”.
A London chef has also made coronation chicken flavoured ice cream. Don’t ask.
