Campaigners are organising to resist plans by the military to lock-down east London over the Olympic period.
The sudden intrusion of Ministry of Defence (MOD) missiles on residential buildings in Bow Quarter prompted east London residents to form the Stop the Olympic Missiles (STOM) campaign.
STOM is set to host a public forum this Thursday to allow local people to hold the MOD to account.
Among those attending will be a spokesperson from the MOD and local MP Rushanara Ali.
The campaign has had a good response from local people who are concerned about the increased military presence in the area. This is set to include helicopters carrying snipers, sonic weapons and an influx of over 13,000 troops.
