What's behind Warsi stories?

Issue No. 2306

Tory Party chairman Lady Warsi faces an inquiry into breaches of the ministerial code.

Cameron reported her within days—unlike Jeremy Hunt.

Warsi claimed up to £165.50 per night for accommodation while staying rent-free in a house belonging to Dr Wafik Moustafa in 2008.

But why the rush of stories about her?

The Tory party has refused to recognise the Conservative Arab Network (CAN), of which Moustafa is chair. It has been linked to disgraced MP Liam Fox’s Atlantic Bridge defence lobbying firm.

It organises trips to the Middle East for politicians.
