Fathers' Day vigils for those who died in custody

Issue No. 2308

Vigils took place across Britain last Sunday to remember those who have died in police custody to coincide with Father’s Day.

Families, friends and campaigners of Anthony Grainger, Azelle Rodney, Ricky Bishop and Roger Sylvester among others, organised the vigils.

In Manchester over 100 people marched in remembrance of Anthony Grainger. His partner Gail, said, “It was a great turnout. We just want to raise awareness.

“We want answers.”
