Workers in the RMT union at Barton Hall rail depot in Bristol have voted to strike over a reduction in their hours.

RMT members on South West Trains were set to take action short of a strike from Friday until Sunday of this week over Olympic pay.

RMT members employed by Serco on the “Boris Bike” cycle hire scheme were due to stop booking shifts from Friday to Sunday of this week in a dispute over Olympic payments.

Other RMT members in London transport were set to take the same action over the same period. These are at Oyster Business Support, Lost Property, London Transport Museum and Travel Information Centres.

The RMT has halted a strike ballot over Olympic pay at Greater Anglia rail company after a legal challenge by the company.
