Issue No. 2324

HM Revenue and Customs bosses have agreed to extend the grant given to nurseries in East Kilbride, near Glasgow, and Cardiff following protests.

The campaign to save the remaining six sites in Leeds, Salford, Nottingham and Leicester will see another day of national protest on 17 October.

Meanwhile members of the PCS civil service workers’ union in the Ministry of Justice are set to ballot for strikes in opposition to privatisation. The ballot will run from the 18 October to 8 November.
