Staff at Newsquest newspapers in Bradford and York are taking industrial action over pay.
Members of the National Union of Journalists at York began holding mandatory all-day meetings from 10am every day this week. Those in Bradford were set to hold one on Wednesday of this week from 12 noon.
Sticky situation at Crossrail protest
Protester Frank Morris wore a paper suit covered in wet paint as he joined a protest at Crossrail in central London last week.
This was to make it harder for guards to grab him as he picketed the site. Frank is a Unite safety rep who was sacked after complaining about dangerous conditions.

Pensioners lobbied parliament over threats to free bus travel and the winter fuel allowance on Wednesday of last week.
The London protest called by the National Pensioners Convention opposed plans to introduce means testing for some universal benefits.

Mexicans protest to support Zapatistas
Dozens of protesters gathered outside the Mexican embassy in London on Friday of last week in solidarity with the Zapatista movement.
The protest was called to coincide with Mexico’s traditional Day of the Dead by the London branch of the Yo Soy 132 protest movement.
