Train cleaners to strike over pay

Issue No. 2337

Train cleaners employed by Churchills Tyne & Wear Metro were set to strike again on Thursday of this week for decent pay and conditions.

They are members of the RMT union.

The workers rejected an offer made after their previous strike, which lasted 72 hours from 23 December.

They were set to strike for 24 hours from 22.30 on Wednesday evening.
