The Beatles’ Please Please me—remaking a classic

Fifty years ago this month the Beatles recorded their iconic album, Please Please Me.

To mark the anniversary, leading artists will attempt to recreate the 12-hour session that resulted in the album—using the same timescale and studio.

This programme looks at the results.

It’s part of the BBC’s The Golden Age of the Album—a two-week celebration across BBC Four, Radio 2 and 6 Music.
