Fight for justice in South Yorkshire

by Rosie Warren
Issue No. 2339

Some 60 people turned out to a meeting on injustice at the hands of the state in Sheffield last week.

They heard from veterans of the miners’ mass picket at Orgreave, Janet Alder, whose brother Christopher died in police custody, and student protester Alfie Meadows.

Sheila Coleman from the Hillsborough Justice campaign spoke about the big picture.

The South Yorkshire National Union of Journalists hosted the meeting.
