South west bus drivers to strike

Issue No. 2340

RMT union members on Wilts and Dorset buses have voted by 70 percent to strike against the company’s attacks on their terms and conditions.

The company is part of the giant Go-Ahead Group. The group’s pre-tax profits increased by 44 percent in its last accounts to £9.5 million.

Yet bosses want to change shifts, abolish paid meal breaks and have threatened to cancel some bus routes.
