St Helens strike against constant observation

Issue No. 2340

Teachers at Newton-le-Willows primary school in St Helens began a two-day strike on Tuesday of this week.

The NASUWT union members are striking over a punitive appraisal policy which sets no limit to the number of observations teachers can be subject to.

Unions say there should be a maximum of three observations a year. The walkout follows a strike on Tuesday of last week.
