Road sign erectors say stop the attacks

Issue No. 2343

Workers at Brent Highway Operations in north London have voted unanimously for an indefinite strike from Monday of next week.

The ten workers are members of the GMB union.

They erect road signs, and clean gullies to reduce the risk of flooding.

Brent council plans to outsource their jobs to contractor Conway/Aecom.

It would sack four of them and give the other six new duties and worse terms and conditions.
