No peace at Brooklyn vigil

Issue No. 2345

Almost 50 people have been arrested in Brooklyn, New York, after attending a peace vigil in memory of 16 year old Kimani Gray.

Kimani was shot dead by two plain clothes police officers on 14 March after being stopped.

New York State has paid out £143,000 to settle seven lawsuits from people previously accusing the two officers of civil rights abuses when stopped.
