Workers at HM Revenue & Customs at London’s Euston Tower walked out on Friday of last week after bosses announced the closure of 281 enquiry centres.
They held a protest outside the building. PCS union members also walked out of an office in Nottingham.
Enquiry centres are a lifeline.
They help people who want their taxes explained and who can’t get the service they need over the phone or on the internet.
The closures will result in a poorer service to the public and a further threat to 1,300 members’ jobs.
This is one more reason to join the strikes and fight back.
