Fired up for action at the brick factory

Issue No. 2347

One of Britain’s biggest brick factories faces an all-out strike from Monday of next week.

Some 13 burners at Hanson Brick in Peterborough are set to strike against cuts to their annual leave.

They are members of the Unite union, which also accuses the firm of trying to reduce the number of reps and cutting facility time.

Burners hope their strike will shut down the whole site.
