Investigation into racism against firefighter

The IPCC has launched an investigation into allegations that police were racist towards an off-duty fire fighter. It rejected a police report of the incident.

Edric Kennedy-Macfoy says police dragged him from his car and tasered him in 2011.

Edric says the police behaved like “wild animals” yet he was arrested and charged with obstructing police. He was found not guilty after a two day trial.

Hillsborough inspector has case to answer

The chief inspector who presided over the Hillsborough football disaster and the subsequent cover up has a case to answer, the IPCC has ruled.

But Sir Norman Bettison cannot be disciplined or dismissed because he is no longer a serving officer.

He resigned last year after a damning report into the tragedy slammed his conduct.
