Rally to remember Lucy Meadows

Issue No. 2349

Teachers in the north west of England were set to join a march and rally in memory of Lucy Meadows this Saturday.

The NUT union is backing the event. Lucy was a transgender teacher who police believe killed herself last month. She had worked at a local primary school as Nathan Upton until last year.

Right wing columnist Richard Littlejohn had attacked her in the Daily Mail.

Assemble 1.30pm, St Mary Magdalen’s Primary School, Accrington BB5 1DW.
