Council unions reject pay offer

Issue No. 2349

Some 60 percent of Unison union members in Scottish local government have voted to reject a 1 percent pay offer in a consultation ballot on a 25 percent turnout.

In the Unite union 70 percent voted to reject on a 25 percent turnout. The GMB union has accepted the offer. 

Unison is set to ballot for industrial action and will seek coordination with Unite.
