United campaigns to beat bedroom tax

Issue No. 2350

The newly-formed Uddingston campaign against the bedroom tax is affiliated to the West of Scotland Anti-Bedroom Tax Federation.

Groups affiliated to the federation have held almost 40 meetings around Glasgow.

It mobilised over 8,000 people to a demonstration last month.

Activists are building for a conference on Saturday to make the federation Scotland-wide.

The model is something we can replicate across Britain.

That's one of the main aims of the Benefit Justice Summit in London on 11 May.
