Construction workers protested repeatedly over blacklisting last week.
Some 200 demonstrated at the bosses’ Housing Awards in central London on Thursday night. Workers and supporters blocked Park Lane and held up rush hour traffic.
The next day unions protested outside the Scottish parliament in Edinburgh calling for a ban on companies associated with blacklisting from bidding for public contracts.
This includes the Forth Replacement Crossing. The bridge, which is due to be completed in 2016, is the largest engineering project in Scotland.
Blacklisted electrician Frank Morris was sacked from the Crossrail project last year. The demand for his reinstatement is central to the campaign.
On Friday morning up to 80 people joined Frank at the Westbourne Park Crossrail site.
His picket will not be intimidated into going away. More protests are planned this week. The potential for concerted action on major projects such as Crossrail offers the prospect of construction workers making significant gains.
