Hewlett Packard workers strike

Issue No. 2351

Some 1,500 PCS union members at Hewlett Packard struck for 24 hours on Monday. 

The strike is over a derisory 1.6 percent pay offer. 

The strike also aimed to disrupt the launch of the government’s universal credit pilot.

Bosses plan over 1,300 job cuts between now and October 2014.

Workers began an overtime ban last week.
