Unite union members from across Britain were set to meet in London on Saturday of this week following the union’s recent general secretary election.
Rank and file candidate Jerry Hicks won 36 percent of the vote.
This shows support for his main demands—a member-led union, a determined fight against austerity, and an end to the blank cheque to the Labour Party.
Jerry’s supporters have held a series of regional meetings.
This week they were set to meet in Telford, Leeds, Hartlepool and Glasgow.
