The tornado that ripped through parts of Oklahoma on Tuesday of this week left at least 50 people dead.
Those with no storm rooms or safe bunkers to take refuge in were most affected. They were also leaset likely to have any means to escape after weather warnings told them what was expected.
Homes have been destroyed as well as a small hospital and a school where pupils and teachers tried to hide from the wind. Rescuers are still searching for survivors as Socialist Worker goes to press.
Trailer parks and wooden homes were the worst affected with many people losing everything.
