Yorkshire ambulance strike against deskilling

Issue No. 2355

Some 500 Yorkshire Ambulance Service workers in Unite union were set to strike again from noon to midnight on Friday of next week.

They struck first on 2 April and are not working overtime.

Bosses want to replace paramedics who have trained for three years with workers who have done six weeks’ training.

They have also derecognised Unite.
