Socialist Worker

100 images of migration

Issue No. 2358

These photographs reflect many different experiences of migration in and out of Britain.

They are a mixture of joyful, poignant and painful.

Many come from a competition run by the Migration Museum Project, but others are local to the diverse neighbourhood of Hackney in east London.

They also exude the confidence of people who have fought to have somewhere to feel at home and aren’t going to give it up.

Until 31 August, Hackney Museum, 1 Reading Lane, London E8 1GQ. Go to hackney.gov.uk/migration.htm
