The north west of England is hardest hit by cuts to wages, according to the TUC.

Wages there have shrunk by £7.6 million, or 10.6 percent, since 2007.

Workers in Scotland have lost £5.5 million from their wages over the same time period.

In Yorkshire and Humber the figure is £4.6 million.
