Refuse crews put pay freeze in bin

Around 50 refuse collection workers struck in West Wiltshire on Monday of this week.

They are members of the GMB union employed by FCC Environment.

Bosses have refused to even discuss the prospect of a pay rise—telling GMB officials that members “should be grateful to have jobs”.

But they paid out £8 million to shareholders.
