Justice for Nygel as coroner concludes eviction caused his death

Campaigners in Kilburn, north London, protested at and attended the inquest into the death of Nygel Patrick Firminger. So did his friends and family.

Nygel, or Nigel, had been a member of the Kilburn Unemployed Workers Group. 

The coroner gave a narrative verdict.

It said, “On 2 April 2012 at his former home Nigel Patrick Firminger was found having taken his own life as a direct consequence of him being evicted and the effect that eviction had on his mental health”.

The verdict vindicated our Justice For Nygel campaign. The coroner had looked into issues raised by our leaflet
