by John Davies
Issue No. 2362

Bedroom tax campaigners picketed York Magistrates Court on Thursday of last week, where Selby council had summonsed people in council tax arrears.

People who Selby Council started charging council tax in April now owe £70—in addition to £90 court costs.

Selby Court has closed down, and to travel to York would cost £5.40 on the bus. Only a few people attended.
