TONY BLAIR waded even deeper into the Iraq war alongside George Bush this week. Increasing numbers of countries have pulled out of the disastrous occupation. But Blair talked of sending more British troops in to bolster it. Blair is mired in his greatest problems yet. Political commentators are discussing how long he can hang onto power.

Thursday 10 June sees the only all-Britain elections conducted on proportional representation. It is a great opportunity for the anti-war movement to hit Blair from the left. A big vote for Respect: The Unity Coalition in England and Wales, and for the Scottish Socialist Party can help in finally forcing our bloodstained prime minister from office.
