Richard Rogers: Inside Out

Issue No. 2363

Architect and Labour Lord Richard Rogers has a retrospective of his work at the Royal Academy this summer.

He designed London’s Lloyd’s building, Madrid’s Barajas Airport terminal, and Paris’s Pompidou Centre.

The combination of grand good intentions and New Labour private enterprise make him like his Millennium Dome—both imposing and infuriating in equal measure.

Richard Rogers: Inside Out. Royal Academy, Burlington House, London W1J 0BD until 13 October
