OCS cleaners strike for a living wage

Issue No. 2368

Sixty nine GMB union members employed by cleaning contractor OCS are set to strike on Tuesday 27 August as Socialist Worker goes to press.

The cleaners provide services for residents on housing estates in the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The workers voted unanimously to strike for the London Living Wage of £8.55 after the imposition of a pay freeze with no offer to increase wages this year.

The cleaners refuse to take a pay cut while OCS hoover up profits from the contract.
