Sunderland march says 'save our library'

Issue No. 2369

Around 100 people marched through Sunderland last Saturday against council plans to close nine libraries.

Children who said they “loved reading” joined the protest.

Unemployed workers on the march said they would find it hard to look for jobs without access to a library.
