Ian Bradley the rank and file candidate in the Unite Executive Council  by-election for London and Eastern received 5,878 votes, 42 percent.

Ian told Socialist Worker, “First I want to thank those who voted for me, which far exceeded what I expected. “The vote shows that there is a very large percentage of the union who want to see a more determined fight than we are seeing. They also have serious questions about the unions relationship with Labour.

“I was told time and again the union doesn’t listen and does what it wants. What we need is more rank and file input.”
