Health campaigners fight ambulance cuts

Issue No. 2370

Some 50 health workers, trade unionists and NHS campaigners protested outside Yorkshire Ambulance Trust HQ in Wakefield on Tuesday of last week.

The Trust announced cuts of £46 million. Ambulance technicians would be replaced by drivers with only first aid training.

The trust has also de-recognised Unite.

Another protest is set for the next Trust board meeting on Tuesday September 24, Cutler’s Hall, Church St, Sheffield S1 1HG
