Probation protest to stop sell-off

Issue No. 2372

Probation workers held lunchtime protests against privatisation on Thursday of last week. The Tories want to sell contracts for some probation work to private firms.

The Unison, GMB and Napo unions organised the protests. They coincided with the Ministry of Justice placing adverts in the Official Journal of the European Union for private sector bids.
