Workers win pay rise after strikes

Issue No. 2373

Metal workers at King & Fowler in Liverpool have won their first pay rise in five years after a series of one-day strikes.

The Unite union members called off further action after a pay award of 3 percent this year, 2.5 percent in April 2014 and 2 percent in April 2015.

The agreement includes more holidays, and better overtime and bank holiday rates.
