Workers at South Gloucestershire council stage solid third walkout over pay

Issue No. 2375

Workers at South Gloucestershire council struck for six hours last Friday in an ongoing dispute over attacks on their pay.

It was the Unison union members’ third strike in as many weeks. Picket lines were solid and big.

Workers understand that if they all stay out they can win—and if they don’t they will face more attacks.

Public support has been immense and it shows that the services they offer matter.

Workers were set to join the teachers’ regional strike by walking out on Thursday of this week.
